Application Information:

The Fort Lee Volunteer Ambulance Corps is always eager and excited to accept new volunteer members interested in joining the ranks of the Corps. The FLVAC provides EMS coverage between 7PM and 6AM on weekdays and all day on weekends. New members are expected to commit with some flexibility to a minimum of one shift a week with an opportunity to ride more frequently as their schedule permits.
Applicants must possess valid NJ EMT-B/CPR certifications or be in the process of completing an approved EMT-B course. Applicants interested in enrolling in an EMT-B training course may visit the Bergen County EMS Training Center at or the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute for a list of upcoming courses. Applicants committed to joining the Corps upon completion of their course will have all associated course costs covered by the FLVAC.

Please do not begin the application process unless you are already certified as an EMT-B or within one month of completing a NJ approved EMT-B course. The application process takes approximately one month and requires an online application, return of (2) employment/academic references, return of a medical screening form, and a screening conducted by the FLVAC Screening Committee.
