EMT Training Programs

Please note that ALL Initial EMT Training Classes offer CPR Training/certification classes.  All applicants that would like to ride as an Observer with the Corps prior to completing their EMT training will need to have successfully completed a Healthcare Provider CPR Class BEFORE they can become an Observer.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Classes

Please note this agency no longer qualifies for the NJ EMT Training Fund. Applicants are required to cover tuition and other out-of-pocket expenses associated with their EMT training. The Corps is currently exploring options to reimburse EMTs who join the Fort Lee Volunteer Ambulance Corps and who successfully complete their probationary training program.

Observer/Ride-Along Program

The Fort Lee Volunteer Ambulance Corps offers a Ride-Along Observer Program for prospective EMTs who are interested in learning about Emergency Medical Services and joining our Corps.

  • Observers are scheduled to ride with our crews and respond with them to emergency calls.

  • Observer candidates can start riding up to two months before they start their EMT program, with a valid Healthcare Provider CPR Card.

  • All shifts completed as an Observer will be credited toward the Corps stipend program after you join the Corps.
